West Side (Quietside)

The West Side of Mount Desert Island offers a calmer alternative to the busy main park loop.

Known locally as the Quietside, this area features freshwater lakes, coastal hikes, and rugged shores. It receives fewer visitors than the East Side, making it easier to navigate during peak summer months.

You will still need a valid park pass clearly displayed through your windshield to park and explore here. East vs West Side
